Wd My Cloud Twonky Settings
Hi,I have connectivity issues with my WD my cloud mirror 4TB after a regular windows 10 update - I previously had win10 installed in this computer and there were no problems. I have read many threads in the forumbut I have not been able to see this exact issue.Summary of the issue:.When I try to access WD my cloud through windows explorer it shows that credentials entered are wrong. When I try to access WD my cloud through my web browser using the static IP address asigned to the devided, it displays a message saying that website cannot be accessed. When I try to access WD my cloud through the official app, it shows a message stating that device could not be found. This problem only happens in my main computer. Star wars jedi vs sith game. I can still access WD my cloud from other laptops either using win explorer, web browser or the app.Things I have tried and have not worked so far:.Change my WDmycloud user and credentials (using another laptop).Delete network connection (Net Use. /delete).Delete WD credentials using windows credentials manager and rebooting.Use RegEdit (1. Create a Dword called 'AllowInsecureGuestAuth' in HKLMSYSTEMCurrentControlSetServicesLanmanWorks, 2.
Set the new value to 1, 3. Then close Regedit and Reboot.)Any suggestions are very welcommedMany thanks. Hi there Andres:)I'm sorry to hear about the issue with the WD My Cloud. Since it works fine with other devices both from the My Cloud app and from the browser I would think this is a OS related issue.Just to be sure, using one of the other devices, navigate to the dashboard of the My Cloud - Settings - Utilities and then perform the Quick and Full disk tests as well as the system test in order to completely exclude the NAS asthe cause if the issue. You can also check and KB from MS and see if any of them can help.CaptainWD. You can go to your system's BIOS (check the manual of your motherboard for ways to do this) and check there if you are running in Legacy mode or UEFI mode. Also check if you are running on IDE or AHCI. You can also do this in your, IDE ATA/ATAPI Controllers and see if any of them contain 'AHCI'.Generally it doesn't really matter as NAS devices work independently regardless of the system's settings.
You should be able to see the capacity of the WD My Cloud no matter if you are in Legacy mode or UEFI mode.CaptainWD. Thanks both for your responses. I have not checked if i am running MBR or UEFI as I do not yet know how to access my BIOS and look for it. However, I think this shouldn't be a problem because this computer was working fine with WDmycloud device until thewindows update. Again, drive is recognized in the network. Issue is that when I try to access it says credentials are wrong - but they are fine as i use them with other devices.btw, I have been runing all the my cloud tests as advised and everything works fine.any other ideas of what I can do?Many thanks in advance for your help!
You should be safe that the NAS works perfectly fine and it is safe to use.You should have guidance on how to access BIOS in your motherboard manual as well as where to find these settings.Which is the Firmware version that's currently installed on your WD My Cloud Mirror?Could you post a screenshot of the message that you get when you enter the NAS's IP in the internet browser? You can get the appropriate IP from your router or from the network location where the drive is recognized.CaptainWD.

Just want to make sure we are on the same page and not missing out anything silly: you are using the EXACT same local IP (I presume it goes something like 192.168.x.x) in order to access your WD My Cloud both from this PC and from allother devices AND the PC is connected to the same network/router as the WD My Cloud and all the rest of the devices, correct? You have the latest Firmware installed which is good.Try checking if some of the ports are disabled on the Windows system or on the router towards the IP of the system.CaptainWD.
